Nancy Hunter

1929 - 2009

Suddenly after a short illness

We know all of you that met Nancy will share our shock and distress at the news and join us in sending our deepest sympathy to Charles and their family.

Nancy was a special person, her spirit and joie de vie an inspiration. A beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother; Nancy will be laid to rest in her family plot, in the UK. We are sending a donation to the Fire Service Benevolent Fund in her name and arranging a floral tribute, should you wish your name to be added, please email contact@pcpirates.co.uk

NEWS and VIEWS

We’ve put a little collection of our pictures of Nancy in the Gallery, hope they make you smile as much as they did us.

We arrived in the rain and left in the rain  - but what a great week – it was so good to see you all  - our neigbours the British Lawn Mower lot, Toad and the Beermountain crew, Steve the Hat, Nick & Brenda , even the Drinking for Holland crew made over just before the end of race – and the new crews this year , the Morad family , BLMRA young guns with their racing mowers, the Rui family and Mikey Bowles and friends.

The Nancy Hunter Memorial Le Mans Ladies Lunch, (Pimms o’clock) took place in time honoured fashion and the girls got blasted . Cap’t Akers birthday went well  - a little delayed due to rain but was a good turn out – Mark L’s scaffold was a hit and provided a very comfy view of the track under cover from sun & rain

The Peugeots did very well and deserve their win  - I just hope it will generate enough interest to keep the French team at Lemans and the Audi’s losing will make them more intent to win again with their R15

I was so good to see you all there – apologies if we did not get to say goodbyes to all  but packing up in the rain is a pain – to coin a phase
